Library Chair

Chair specially designed for the Sackler Library in Oxford to be made in large quantities in American oak. Based on the Greek klismos, the curved legs connect to the gently curving frame with expressed mortice and tenon joints. The slightly tilted leather seat, curved splat and back are designed anthropometrically to provide a comfortable seating position for the maximum variety of readers.
